How StudyAny Protects Your Data

StudyAny is a global learning marketplace connecting learners and experts. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using StudyAny, you agree to this Policy. If you are accessing from the European Economic Area, the UK, or other regions with data laws, we process your data under applicable legal bases outlined below.

We collect the minimum data needed to operate a reliable, secure, and personalized product.

• Account & Identity: name, email, password (hashed), authentication tokens, profile details, verification documents where required.
• Usage: pages viewed, clicks, device/browser data, approximate location (via IP), session logs, crash reports, and feature engagement for product quality.
• Payments: billing contact, payment method tokenization via PCI-compliant providers, transaction IDs, invoices, refunds, and dispute artifacts.
• Content: messages, bookings, lesson preferences, uploads, reviews, and user-generated materials shared on the platform.
• Integrations: data you authorize from third parties (e.g., calendars, video tools, identity providers).
• Support & Trust: tickets, call/chat recordings, safety reports, and fraud or abuse signals.

We use data to deliver the service, keep it secure, and improve the experience.

• Provide and personalize StudyAny features, recommendations, and notifications.
• Process payments, manage bookings, issue invoices, and handle refunds or disputes.
• Secure the platform: prevent fraud, detect abuse, verify identity, and enforce policies.
• Improve quality: monitor reliability, analyze performance, and ship product enhancements.
• Communicate: send transactional emails/SMS (account, security, booking updates), service announcements, and—with your consent—marketing.
• Comply with law: respond to lawful requests, maintain records, and meet regulatory obligations.

We rely on: (a) performance of a contract (to run the service), (b) legitimate interests (security, quality, product improvement), (c) consent (marketing, certain cookies/analytics where required), and (d) legal obligations (tax, accounting, compliance).

We do not sell personal data. We share only as needed to operate StudyAny or as required by law.

• Service providers under contract: cloud hosting, analytics, payments, communications, identity verification, and support tooling.
• Experts and learners: limited profile, booking, and messaging details to enable sessions and collaboration.
• Business operations: advisors, auditors, and professional services under confidentiality.
• Legal and safety: to comply with lawful requests, protect rights, or prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.
• Corporate events: in a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, subject to continued protections.

Data may be processed globally. When we transfer data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required.

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, secure the platform, and enforce agreements. When no longer needed, we take steps to delete or anonymize it.

Payments are processed by vetted providers; we do not store full payment instrument numbers. Third-party tools embedded in StudyAny (e.g., video, analytics, calendar) process data under their own policies when you interact with them.

StudyAny is not directed to children under the minimum age required by law in your region. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent. If you believe this has occurred, contact us to remove the data.

We may update this Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will post updates with a revised date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
